I'm a big DIY'er and already have a quality set of seals plus OEM gaskets so if I don't get it to seal up on the first shot I will try it again. I found a few different sources for the seals so I'm sure I can come up with what I need to get it to work. I'd rather upgrade the throttle body than go new but it all comes down to whether or not the rebuild works out. If not I may be shelling out the cash for a plenum and Q45 tb.

Has any of the 91-95 guys used one of the EVO MAP adapters for DSM's? This seems like a nice easy solution for us.

I do have new seals from STM and a new IAC. Do the FIAV's go bad often? mine seems to work as the cold idle is higher than warm.

That's for running a different map sensor in place of the stock one. won't be of any use to the 91-95 guys since there isn't a map sensor slot on the plenum.

I was under the impression that it is what they use to run the OE EVO X map sensor since they do not have a spot for it either.

    Example

Here is an example of the one you are thinking of I believe.

Pop off the coolant hoses to your TB. if you see a coating of calcium and rust, its probably built up in the FIAV too.
