Please tell me V2 will be able to control a Meth Kit. I have been holding out until it can do this, so I can run my 19Ts with 91+Meth I am buying the ECU and will donate happily once this is in there.

V2 has the ability to control all 4 switched outputs. One is already used for the fuel pump resistor relay. The others are for the Active Exhaust, Fuel Pressure Solenoid and the Vent solenoid (not used on the 91-97 cars). To simplify the operation of these pins, I re-wrote the code to give the user the ability to switch them on/off based on various parameters (airflow, RPM, TPS...).

So lets say you don't want to use those outputs for stock function, they all are a switched 12V 2amp output straight out of the ECU. This gives you the ability to use them for whatever you please:

    *Shift light
*Meth (triggering some kind of external relay)
    *Nitrous (again with the relay)
*OBD1 Purge solenoid functionality (the flash ECU uses a duty cycle type purge solenoid instead of a switched solenoid like the OBD1 cars)
    *Switchable Exhaust motor

    ...anything you can imagine.

Hey Greg, I finally got around to switching the pins on the harness. I switched 71 with 72 and 73 with 74. That is correct, right? When I checked o2 sensor feedback on evoscan the rear bank still was not fluctuating. Next step is to enable bit 2 of periphery 0?? I know periphery 0 is supposed to be left alone after this...yeah?

Yes. Turn it back on. (Its enabled by default)

That bit controls the independent front/rear bank fuel trims.

Stupid question time (searched and didn't get any hits).

Can the flashable ECUs control active aero? My AA was working on my 91 ECU, but is not working on my flash ECU (which is one of Adam's built ECUs, currently running a slightly tweaked 99 VR-4 ROM, not a Chrome ROM).

Obviously 99 VR-4 lacks AA, so I don't expect this to work with the 99 ROM. Wondering if the hardware I have would support AA, and if Chrome V2 will support it.

(Reason for staying on the 99 ROM is dumb, but meh... my stock boost gauge wasn't working right with Chrome V1. I'll be ripping that out soon enough, making it a non-issue, but for now, the dumb stock gauge is all I've got.)

if you wire up the AA for manual control and then tap in the one of the aux outputs of the ecu, i could see it being possible. if the aux output could be tied to vehicle speed.

I thought AA was done off speed input to the AA controller. No need for another output. Hmmm are you sure the AA controller isn't bad? The speed input should be similar. The transmsions were different... but the speeds on other 5 speed cars are correct with a flash ecu. So it should worl. Are you sure the speed sensor wire to the AA controller wasn't cut?

If you stick with chrome V1.0 your stock gauge will work fine. V2 will give you the ability to edit it.

As Adam stated, the ECU has no tie to the AA.

have you guys tried any alternate ignition systems

with the ability to change dwell times we could potentially use COP and get power gains without an amplifier, evo guys do it

we could maybe use other coil packs with bigger coils, or even make more power out of the stock coils

im just kinda wandering if anyone has looked into this, i didn't find anything on changing ignitions with flash ecu when i searched
