I am trying to convince GReg to make some kind of choke type fuel cutoff in the ecus codsing. BUt we haven't crossed that bridge yet.
There's already a fuel cutoff in the stock code - hold the throttle to the floor while cranking and it won't inject fuel.

Just passed New York OBDII Inspection with v1

I'm reporting this because I didn'ty know what to expect. I am getting a P1400 CEL that I cleared prior to the checks. Otherwise, very happy how well this is working out.

Would love to know how different the ECU logic is relative to Manifold Differential Pressure sensor checks for '96 Vs '99.

Are the part numbers the same for the 96 and 99 MDP sensors?

To trip the CEL the code the sensor output voltage must be 4.5V or more for 4 seconds or is 0.2V or less for 4 seconds. The check only occurs when the coolant temps are > 140degF.

If the sensors are the same, first thing of Check is the adaptor harness. Pin 92 is the MDP input pin. Not sure what pin it is on the 96.

Thanks Greg, this info is helpful. Since I get the CEL during boost, my guess is that I might have a faulty sensor pushing voltage in excess of 4.5V. As a cheap trick (alternative) I will be installing a zener diode between the output and ground to bleed off voltage over 4.3V to see if this solves the problem. If it works it will be the best dime I ever spent. (ordered 10 at .10c a piece)

I might as well contribute as well. I recently passed emission testing on my 93 with no functioning O2 sensors. On the flash ECU I simply disabled O2 feedback or closed loop control and made sure my tune didn't dip below 14.7 AFR. The only tuning I did was adjust the global injector scaling and injector lag times. I'm still shocked at how well open loop is working out for me, it's been over a year and no problems between season changes.

Why not just disable the CEL in periphery 2?

anyone notice that the AEM wideband its self would show 10.5 but on the evoscan loggs showed 11.0 seems like its something in evoscan 2.6? i tried looking it up on google and for others that had the same problem on other cars said to switch to 2.7 or 2.5.
