    Greg,I was getting ready to install my VR4 contol unit and chrome it,but i was looking at the wiring diagrams and was wondering how much it would affect my active exhaut and the electronic control suspension,would like to keep them as i have spent a lot of time and money restoring it all to working condition,and I wanted to thank you and the rest of the guys for the unbelievable work you have done on this. I would appreciate any thoughts you may have on this. Thanks

    Working on the AE right now actually! Found the input, found the code, now we just need to find the output pin.

    cant wait for ver2.0 to come out

    so this AE trigger
    can it be used to trigger something else
    like an exhaust cut out??

    also
    was wondering what the proper op2 datalog config would be if i wanted to run the lc-1 wideband in stead of aem
    heres the code in running now

    Code:

    ; sample logging configuration file for openport 2.0
    ; must be named logcfg.txt and be placed in the root directory of the
    ; microSD card inserted in the openport in order to work

    ; this sample logs using the MUT-II protocol over the K-line, which works
    ; for many mitsubishis, including the EVO 8 and 9

    ;----------------mut2----------------

    type=mut2

    ; you can also set an OBD pin to a voltage, ground, or a high impedance state
    ; the first number is the OBD pin number, the second number is the pin voltage with the following values:
    ;
    ; 8000-18000 : voltage in millivolts for OP2 Rev C and earlier
    ; 5000-25000 : voltage in millivolts for OP2 Rev D and later
    ; -1 : set pin to high impedance (default state)
    ; -2 : pull pin to ground
    ;
    ; keep in mind that if you are applying a non-zero voltage to more than one pin, all of those voltages
    ; must be the same

    ; the following setpinvoltage sets OBD pin 1 to ground, which is needed to enable logging on older Mitsubishis
    ; it is commented out as it is not needed for newer models (e.g. EVO 8/9)
    ;

    setpinvoltage=1,-2

    ECU Flash software

    Hey Guys,can anyone tell me which software version of ecu flash we download?Are we suppose to download the version (1.42.2595) which is the version that comes up when you click on Gregs link (or is that a reference point) or do we download version (1.43.3150) that is with the EvoScan 2.6 download ? Just trying to get the right software to start with to keep me from screwing everything up right from the start. Thanks for the HELP.

    Use 1.42 for ECUFlash.

    I should just release my evoscan 2.9 beta for everyone.... It's basically done now. Probably make a thread on that tonight.

    I keep adding more and more stuff to it. Jeff showed me how the MUT commands work and this has got me tackling the final mysteries behind the code! Especially with idle and start up!

    Adam/jesters has made me aware of several unused inputs and outputs on the board and this has my mind constantly churning out more ideas to utilize them. Things like Active Exhaust (stock or aftermarket), ecu controlled meth, even ecu controlled boost a pump! Eventually I'll call it a quits and give it all to you guys to play with.

    I'm also finding a couple mistakes here and there. Im only human and its still donationware but its best to catch them now before having to patch everyones car... My beta testers are also doing great at giving me feedback so I'll be better prepared to answer questions to the public when I do finally release it.

    I'm also in the beginning stages of writing a full out everything you need to know manual. Much like Merlin's Guide to Tuning an EVO. This will be very similar.

    So, there's still a lot going on but it will come soon! It's taken AEM years and thousands of dollars in R&D, engineering and testing to develop their product. I'm just a dude working in my spare time. Not easy writing something to compete with that!!
