    This!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know the guy he is talking about.

Use that car as a DD then get a VR4 to kick ass in.

^ Can't this is my one and only ride. Why would getting nitrous be a waste? It's under a grand for the whole kit and installation is fairly straightforward.

Ok, be smart... Nitrous is only good for so much, the more you throw at it, the harder it will be on the motor.

    Your options

    1) Do what you want, dump a bunch of money into a sohc base and never be satisfied
    2) Do the swap, still not be happy with it, or spend an ass load of money and be happy/maybe
    3) Buy a TT, mod it and be extremely happy-when its running lol

We are all trying to help you and to keep you from making mistakes that others have made, and to keep you from wasting time and money. But its up to you, your car your choice.

I found my TT for 600 bones, dumped a little over 1200 into it and bam, I can dd my car every day if I wanted to. Not to mention 170xxx on the stock drive train.... Not trying to be a dick, just food for thought.

That and with nitrous, your still slow as balls without the juice, not to mention you need to find a place to fill a bottle regularly if you plan on using it, swapping to a stock twins setup will snag you just as much if not more power on tap whenever you want and only limited by your gas gauge or the po-leece. Nos is cool and all bro/dawg/playa/ Mr. Deisel, but you can snag a full tt swap for 600 bucks, hell, ive got evrything minus the turbos you need off my tt in my garage....

Well lets see. Nitrous isn't always on tap, like boost is. Sure you can get the kit and have it installed for under a grand but do you realize how much it costs to get a tank filled? You are talkling about $4 a pound or so. Haven't checked the cost lately. So if you get a 10 lb tank you are spending $40 to refill. And a 10lb tank is only going to get you about 4 "runs" per fill.

That "extra 100 hp" is going to cost you a METRIC SHITTON more than doing a TT swap.

And you say this is your one and only ride. That is all the more reason to just DD the car and enjoy it for what it is. If it automatic, swapping to 5 speed would be the best bang for the buck gain you could ever imagine. The change in gearing changes the feel of the car.

I have made the mistake of trying to go too far on a DD and paid the price dearly for it. Save your money, drive your car, and buy something that is faster out of the box.

Agree^ I put about 500 miles on my car this past year I tried to dd it after making it TT and hopped timing bought a brand new car for dd and fixed my 3kgt and now I am building a motor painting it and making it the way I want it for next year and of you plan on using nitrous all the time be ready to melt a piston had it happen to me and I had a built motor na is a waste of time if you ask me to go fast in unless it's a ls1 or a v8 them you can make it quick

^ Eh everyone's idea of quick is different I don't need a v8 or ls1 for my car to be "quick" in my opinion. Decisions decisions ...
