Need help please

Ok I bought a 95 vr4 for 1200 guy said it needed new linkage so I fixed that now it will go into any gear but 1 and 2 any ideas thanks

How we adjusted it yesterday and found 3-6 and reversse but cant seem to find 1 and 2

Any hoses, etc in the way? Shift through the gears, and have someone watch the linkage, and see if you're bumping into anything in the engine bay.

You put 6spd cables in it?

I put 6 speed cables in and the weight is cut off to clear the intercooler pipe but it bumping the radiator hose

Then you need a 6spd radiator hose. They are different between 5 and 6spd, someone probably installed a 5spd lower rad hose.

Or the radiator hose is turned the wrong way. It still connects when turned the other way, but then it can get in the way of the linkage.

Ok hose not the prob it just wont go all the way in and some timess when I put in in neutral it sstill in gear
