    CXRacing or Top Speed Pro-1

    Hi,

I would really like to upgrade my headers but the first attempt with OBX has been a real disappointment and those are heading for the trash but has anyone had any luck fitting the CXRacing headers, which look exactly like the OBX ones but also, has anyone installed the Top Speed Pro-1 headers which look a lot more like a performance header. (the rear manifold header)

I'd really appreciate some feedback. I have my engine out and just finishing off a complete rebuild having upgraded the stock 9B's to a set of MTC 13T's and fuel upgrades (550cc) and I really would like to have the headers upgraded as well before I put this engine back in. I do have an HKS Exhaust system (which the dealer butchered) along with 3SX downpipes, so I'd like an 'affordable' set of headers to suit.

    Advice anyone?

There is no affordable good set of headers for tt's. The rear won't fit on any cheap set. The stock headers should work well with your setup.

that is looking good. i'm digging the flat orange.

and don't throw parts away! are the front and rear obx headers not fitting? or just the rears?

are the pictures without the turbos bolted on?

Sorry I never responded to this. For some reason I don't get notifications. Appreciate your comments! To answer your questions, those aftermarket headers are off. The ports were narrower than the head ports and front O2 sensor obstructed the dipstick completely. Rear heads were totally wrong! And yes, those pics are without the turbos and the turbo stay brackets front or rear didn't align. As everyone else said here, don't use the cheap aftermarket headers. CXracing were honest enough to tell me on direct questioning that theirs (identical to OBX) wouldn't fit.

My stock manifolds are back on but I did order the 3sx downpipes and precat headers though I haven't installed them yet. Sure hope these fit because I don't want to gut my stock precats.
