    I am in!

Did Atkins a few years back and went from 237 to 187, but got really angry at the diet. Sucked!

I'm 6' around 228, and getting old... Started riding the bike again Monday, and am up to an hour a day. (took today off due to soreness lol)

Help them, for they know not that which they do not know!

    Well here goes:

So to start off my regimen, I picked up a lot of healthy foods staying away from sodium and if I get canned fruits, I get canned fruits in light syrup. I did get some fresh fruits and vegetables and salad, I am going to try to get into the generic salad for now, but I do want to move to organic salads. I am cutting out a lot of cheeses, drinking more water, and taking some vitamin supplements. I am taking something that has been pushed out as a scam, but it does work, it's called Acai Berry. It isn't a miracle pill, but it does work well if you are active and take this pill. But you have to take vitamin supplements and eat healthy as well as pace yourself on this regimen. I read up on the actual berry itself and it is very similar to any other types of berries you eat. In concentrate form, it can assist in weight loss as a natural supplement. There are only 2 BBB verified companies that will not rip you off and sell you the actual product. I have a bottle of them, but I am only taking 1-2 a week. With the amount of activity that I will be getting, it may not be necessary to continue taking them. I will say that the Acai Berry concentrate pills will essentially strip you of vitamins so if you decide to go with this regimen, you need to be careful.

Tomorrow I am going to start doing some power walking around my neighborhood to get those unworked muscles going again. I am also going to go out each morning before I get ready for work and do a little jogging/walking around the neighborhood so I can get ready for the indoor soccer league. I will probably have to do sprints to get my legs working well enough for the soccer league. And, yes, I am doing this in the cold weather. But I am really pushing myself to trim some weight.

Well day 1 of workout, started today with a brisk walk for 2 hours. I did mix a little jogging in there and I can honestly say I cannot jog very far without being winded so I will probably need to work myself up to it. Tomorrow I start my walk/jog in the morning before I get ready for work. Up at 5:30AM to do about an hour of walking.

For my recovery I am eating a lot of bananas and drinking copious amounts of water. 2 bananas before the workout and a bowl of cereal with nonfat dry milk mixed with water.

    Here's my meal layout:
Breakfast: 2 bananas, mixed fruit, cereal with nonfat dry milk mixed with water
Lunch: Grilled Chicken Salad with spinach, various peppers, light dressing
Dinner: Pretty much a repeat of Lunch without the chicken, dressing
    Snacks: Unsalted nuts
Special Dinners: Anything protein on the menu

I am gearing up before the 16th deadline, you can do the same. I am not going to lose a ton of weight before the 16th with the regimen I am on now anyway. I started early because I need to get conditioned for indoor soccer which starts shortly after the 16th I believe. If I don't, I will hurt myself lol.

    I'm taking a simple approach.
    Less Beer more water.
    No potatoes or pasta.
    No McDonalds.
No unhealthy snacking at my desk.
    Healthy meats and veggies.
Ride my bike the days I'm not working at the shop.
