Well looks good to me. Don't really see how anyone could get sick from that diet. Maybe more tired from lack of carbs and body being in a ketogenic state.

If you do alot of weightlifting you may want to bump the protein with a protein shake(+50g protein or so) post workout on days when you train. Since your body will break down more aminos. This raises the calories by 400-500 or so but if you train alot your body will consume more calories anyways. I take multivitamin/mineral supps to be sure I get all that in too.

Btw if you want a more muscle sparring diet you may want to include carbs.

The paleo diet/low carb diet is effective for quick weight loss but maybe not optimal for a person focused on weight training and retaining muscle and strength.

This is a good guide for cutting for people doing alot of weightlifting.

Thanks, I'm averaging after workout 1k calorie deficit a day. I'm also taking fish oil, d3 and multi vitamin. I take two 25g protein shakes a day one at lunch and one after training

Just doing my occasional check in. This time last year saw me gain 22 lbs back of the 40 or so that I had lost; the holidays were not kind. This year is different as I am past the halfway point in the holiday season and I have not gained a pound due to holiday food gorging. The fact is I am actually down 3 to 4 pounds to my pre Thanksgiving weight. My motivation to keep on track is the way the 22 lb gain screwed up my A1C numbers and losing that 22 lbs plus a few more brought my A1C levels back down to solidly in the normal range from being in pre-diabetes a few years ago. Being today is my 59th birthday, I am setting the stage to be in the best shape of my life next year for my 60th B-day. On my 40th B-day I was in great shape, but let things go to the point that on my 50th B-day I was almost at my maximum weight ever.
Part of my success is the fact I went and had my free testosterone levels checked and found I was on the bottom of the normal range. I was suffering all the signs of low T, so I went to GNC and started taking a testosterone booster. I am in the second month of the latest brand and I can say I see results. My abdominal fat is shrinking off my body; slowly, but it is going away. Also improved is my memory which was approaching pathetic 6 months ago. A lot of guys over 35 don't realize that the battle of the bulge is made extra hard due to low free testosterone levels. I'm currently taking P6 extreme and it is pricey, but it is giving me results. Just thought I'd share what's going on around here, til next time.

Get it done Johnny ! Free testosterone can be a pain in the butt, I never had my levels tested but I could tell the difference when taking g testosterone boosters. After having a annual health screening every single thing except one area came back absolutely great. That one area was ast. Levels and they say a list of organs could be damaged or excess excersise I'm guessing the latter

^^^^^^^^^ Yeah, anymore just trying to live life is a bitch. If I wanted to be challenged, I'd take up playing chess.

    Thanks, Granny.
