My wife bought me a Fitbit Flex for Christmas. We'll see if tracking my activities (mostly walking and sleeping habits) and manually logging food intake makes a difference. I put absolutely zero salt from a shaker on any of my foods and that is a good thing according to the food log. I enter the food and the program fills in the dietary info and I guess I eat a lot of processed sodium.

Well, I finally got back in my weight destroying rotation.

Bought myself a Specialized Crosstrail and have been riding 100 miles a week for the past few months in prep for a 65mile bike ride called Conquer the Coast.

Work put on a biggest losers competition here. The winner wins half the money pot put in by the company and everyones weekly weigh in payment.

I have been in first place since week one where I started out at 248. We are in week 7 right now I am at 221.

At the end of 10 weeks, I should be at 216 and $1400~ richer.

So in the end, what I found out is, money gives me motivation hahah.

At the beginning of the year I was ~210 and got down to 185... I still could have taken off another 10.

I got lazy though while moving, and life, and got back up to ~200... until a few weeks ago. I am back down to 188-190 right now, and back in the gym. I would like to land at a lean 185... which means losing about 10 pounds of fat and putting on about 5 pounds of muscle. I should be there by winter time. Hopefully I can look good while driving the freshly built car!

I jumped on the scale today for the first time in awhile. I am down to 165. If I would stop drinking Mountain Dew, and eating junk I would probably drop another 5-10 lbs.

Help them, for they know not that which they do not know!

I got my dog back in April. Shortly before that I pushed the scale at 238 lbs, if not my highest ever, then damn close. I've been walking and running with the dog twice a day, sometimes as much as 6 miles a day and he makes sure I don't miss a workout! I'm down to 214.5 lbs as of yesterday, so almost 24 lbs without really changing my diet at all, just walking the dog. I think once it starts to cool down some down here, which won't be until November / December, I'll be able to run further distances without having to rest. The humidity in Miami can really limit how much exercise one can do outside this time of year.

Ah, Steven - celebrate with a couple of Big Macs.
