I see you're not selling the car, which I wouldn't have suggested anyway, but I wouldn't proceed as you've planned. Maintain the SL, get a VR4 or another car entirely with whatever is left over.

Dumping money into a SL is like pushing a boulder uphill when you could have chosen the downhill route to the same end.

I would go with the AWD conversion with a N/A 6G74 get that all up & running sweet with the suspension mods then do the turbo conversion at a later date.
