    Our billet wheels are made in the U.S.A. about 40 minutes from my house hehe. These particular turbine wheels are from Japan. Most that we use are from the following: US, UK, or Japan. However when we are looking into a manufacture, they have to meet several things we look for before we use their components. Particularly being ISO 9001 certified and we have them send us samples which we can test and see what kind of quality we're dealing with.

    Yeah they do seem like they would be superior in just about every way. Then again why did Mitsubishi use a 9B turbo in our cars. The B series wheel is one of the worst designed wheels in existence IMO. Its common knowledge with anyone that knows airflow that having 12 equal length blades is a much less efficient design then having staggered blades like the T and G series have for example.

    I think spool should actually not really be hurt. Its kind of hard to tell in the pictures but the curve of the blade is different then the 12 blade so it will probably offset the 3 less blades. For sure being 23% lighter will help it spool faster I would imagine.

    Depending on our timeline (we're still finishing up our TD05's) we've got a company down in Iowa that could flow test them for us. Otherwise we'll just be getting a tester to see what these make, preferably someone who already had a 19T car that's been dyno'd so we can see the differences.

    One other things with regards to the spool. These aren't our stage 3 billet TD05's we're talking about, these are going on Billet TD04's so I dont think spool will be an issue hehe

    It'd be a good comparison because you already have our turbos and have dyno'd them so we'd get to see how much more power the new parts make vs the old parts.

    Not so fast with this statement. I know of more than one case where given a set inducer, exducer, and height, where equal height blades shifted the entire map to the right. On top of that it also produces a quieter compressor. Garrett GTX series ALL have equal height billet compressors. Unfounded blanket statements such as this scare me when it comes to someone making a turbo I'd be interested.

    There are always going to be exceptions to the rules but in general staggered aka splitter wheel blade designs are more efficient.

    I'll take this straight out of an turbo design airflow book I have. "A full bladed wheel is rarely seen and is typically on slower speed turbo applications. The full bladed wheel is not recommended for high performance applications with high boost from high turbo speeds. While the full bladed wheel is believed to produce slightly higher pressure it tends to have trouble biting off enough air at high speeds. The splitter blade is the alternating shorter blade between each full blade. At higher speeds, the larger gap between the full blades is capable of biting off more air. Once taken inside the compressor wheel, the splitter blade helps to efficiently manage and compress the air as it is accelerated and turned radially to the axis of the rotation."

    so yes... completely "unfounded" lol
