...some TD04 teaser pics from MTC... ;)

It's not pictures of the Billet TD04 wheels... yet... but it is pictures of the custom turbine shaft for our Billet TD04 project that is in the works .

Size wise it is the same as a TD04HL but it features 9 blades instead of 12. Weight wise this shaves roughly 35 grams off the weight or 23% off the weight of the 12 Blade TD04HL shaft.

I believe going from a standard TD04HL shaft to a Titanium Aluminide turbine shaft shaves off about 55 grams so these are not as much weight savings as that, but 23% is very significant regardless. The 9 blade design with 8 degrees of clipping makes for a very high flowing and good spooling turbine wheel. Also notice the center nut and post is much smaller then the standard TD04HL, which allows us to have slightly more blade surface area per blade then the standard shaft.

We have 3 Compressor Wheels we are planning to release in Billet. Our first and the easiest to do will be a 19T billet wheel (that we should have ready in about a month). We plan on this being the exact size as a standard 19T so anyone with 19T turbos could upgrade to these. Our other two wheels will be the same wheel designs as our TD05's (Twin 5 blade and Twin 7 Blade) but shrunk down proportionally to TD04 sizes.

So without further ado, here are a few pics of the new turbine shafts.

I might be interested in this. I have IPS 19THL's and I should be going back to the dyno very soon. If you want to do a deal sort of like what you are doing with the TDO5's I would be very interested.
