New 3si mods...?

Let ME make something clear. I don't really care. All I did was express my opinion about what I have witnessed. I don't want to get caught in that drama though and I don't care what goes on there. I apologize I'd I gave the impression I did.

Maybe I should have broken my last statement down, sorry. The only thing I was asking you was what "new rules"? I just want to know because there may be other members (that do care) that have same feelings. I'm not trying to be an ass and my GZP statement was not made to you, but to the other people that have made GZP comments in this thread (I haven't learned how to multi-quote yet). Sorry if you misinterpreted my statement as being directed to you.

Now, the 3si mods... Warlock needs to go troll somewhere else as that old man obviously has nothing better to do.

The only comment I will make regarding Warlock is that for a guy who stepped down due to time constraints (and now says it was due to disagreeing with Alan), he sure has lots of new time to mod.

dbest, I don't know you from Adam, but I have read many of your posts since becoming a mod and I commend you on your adult approach to several types of issues. I know there are some posts I probably haven't read and I know there will be some who will say otherwise, but IMHO, you have conducted yourself and your posts very well. BOL!

I like this thread and I hate sharkbait / warlock. If you ever had any classified issue's, they had no idea WTF they where talking about and always assumed they knew best. It's funny now how almost every thread they don't like, they close. Then Eljef was made a mod too? lol...Charger and Dbest seemed chilled out and don't over use their power.

Two years ago I was the guy running TANP, the single biggest plague to Alan and all the other mods on 3si. Eventually, we were somewhat disbanded. We were brought into the fold of 3si and given some minor perks for constantly scanning 3si. It was also a way to control all of us who still frequented the website. Over time, all of us grew up. I got married, had a child and have since been deployed to Afghanistan twice and while there saw and experienced things that still give me nightmares. If you think that these experiences haven't changed me from the insulting, arrogant and abusive troll of two years ago you couldn't be more wrong.

If you have a concern about how I'm handling something, or how you think I'm handling something, feel free to PM. I can not stress enough how much I care about 3si. Hell, I'm on my first vacation in 2 years right now and I'm still on here trying to deal with issues.

From what I have seen, Jeff, people are only surprised at you being a mod (probably for most of the reasons you stated within your first 6 sentences). I haven't read any real 'ugly' comments about it. I have mentioned, in the past year, to Chris how your posts and attitude have changed dramatically since I first started. SOME people can change and that change is seen in their actions and words. Others, however, just like to say that they have but are quickly proven otherwise.

not saying GZP is right; not saying GZP is wrong. but the "been in business for 10 years, we must be doing something right" excuse is lame. GT-Pro was around longer; and that logic didn't fly. Enron. Wa-Mu. you want me to keep going?

any business can keep itself going despite bad practices; but it's just a matter of time before customer unhappiness reaches critical mass. if the situation is being corrected--GREAT! however, it still doesn't legitimize the "we've been around xxx long, so we're doing alright".

i'm pretty sure it's a well known 3/s fact that hans is a genius in the shop and piss-poor with a business.

Hans used to be very bad at the business end, he was 19 years old when he started GZP and living in his parents' house trying to run a business. He didn't have a CLUE what he was doing, and he's the first to admit it. LOL

That is where I come in. I now handle most of the business side and sales, and he manages the shop and the going-on's/employees, as well as doing the mechanics. It was just too much for one person to manage... working on cars, paying bills, keeping up with customers, making sure sales and parts were shipped, managing employees, giving estimates, etc, etc.

I can definitely say that you changed a lot from the douche canoe you used to be . I have lots of respect for you

Well, I'm still an angry person, it's just that nowadays that anger is directed at the assholes killing my friends and not at people on the internet. Thank you both, though.
