that's interesting, dbest. because if ASKING was all it takes, i might have done it myself. and i'll tell you what, as vitriolic as i am online--i would still be 100x better moderator than LW.
AO is still around, i was given a timeout. that's how you know s**t's f**ked up.
Asking isn't all it takes, you have to be approved by a lot of the moderators, as well as the Admins... I do believe almost everybody else was asked. I just happen to ask for classified (think about why I would ask for that position), and we all know not to many people want to deal with that.

i never said you were. but i'm pretty damn sure that LW's stamp of DISAPPROVAL is a death sentence on anyone's chance at mod. so yes, you pretty much have to go down on him.
you know though...i've thought about it before. as much as there is "some" appeal there, i've always appreciated not having to restrain myself--something that being a moderator would ruin. turns out...i'm being forced to censor myself anyway. funny how F'd up LW is that way.
I will say being a moderator, you really have to be careful what you say, even in chatter. I am sure that is true here also. "I can't lie" (from the movie Liar, Liar)... LW is the one I asked on how to become a moderator, but he wasn't a moderator at that time...

You change change the theme dark to light by clicking in the listbox at the bottom left of this page. Makes it a whole lot easier to read.
