Netflix lost 12 billion in market worth in 100 days... ouch.

I had Netflix for streaming only (before the split.) Cancelled it in about 3 weeks. It had worse selection than HULU.. even for movies.

I originally got it for the streaming alone, after about a day or two browsing through I cancelled it realizing most of the movies/choices were horrible.

netflix has the content and when you think how bad they f'ed up, 800k people isnt a lot. They are going global also but that is costing them alot of money.

No one will be shipping CD's in 5-7 years. I'm thinking about ditching cable and going netflix only. The movies on cable are chock full of commercials and netflix is starting to show more and more series... CMON Walking Dead...

Netflix will be fine, they will probably get bought out now though... I better go buy some stock...

not really netflix's fault. the mpaa is sending a strong message that it doesn't want to support legitimate outlets for people to view its wares--and it would much rather the consumer download from pirate bay/ etc. better selection, higher quality, no wait time.

Pretty much. Netflix losing it's ass in the market (sure, they are making more off subscribers, but the loss in market capitalization would takes years to be made up in the increased income at this point) with the mpaa thinking they are still going to rape Netflix on licensing. I've said it far too many times to count now: Until the mpaa realizes it doesn't have the ability to set demand in the supply/demand equation there is never going to be a change.

Going from 25 millions subscribers to 24.2 million is not "losing it's ass in the market". Far from it.

They are starting the expansion of their streaming service into Europe as we speak.

Netflix actually made a buttload of money from the price increase.

They wouldn't keep doing something if it wasn't working for them.

Vacuum reduction, Powdercoated misc, cruise relocate, Evo9 BOV, Custom catch cans, Russell fuel filter, SS braided fuel lines, High flow fuel loop, Autogage fuel gauge, Catless DP, DNP Y-pipe, Fuel pump hotwire.
