You basically have to break whatever's left of your old vents out. I used channel locks for the most part. Then you slip the fasteners into place under the vinyl, and screw them down.

"Easy" is the wrong word, but I suppose it's easier than removing the dash. Prolly took me a bit over an hour, start to finish, most of it breaking out the old vents.

Well, its is "easy" when you consider the work required to pull the dash.

I hope they are not using the same aluminum hardware as what is on the other kits. All my aluminum bolts broke when I installed mine cause you really have to tighten them down good since the vinyl on the dash tends to warp due to the sun and age. Had to replace them all with SS hardware which has been holding up to 2 years now.

If the vinyl around you dash vents is in any way warped or pulling up then those will not work. you would need to pull the dash, re-glue the vinyl back down and then install the new vents. Installing them on top of the warped vinyl is almost impossible and will make it look like total ass!!

    Check it out on Youtube!!

Whoever came up with this shit of "easy install" is very lucky they aren't here right now. I've just spent the last 2 hrs trying to get the ds vent installed and still haven't got it done. Only thing I can figure is they have the hands of a 10 yr. old female violinist. Fuck I'm pissed right now.

Done a few of them. They are far from easy. I always recommend OEM vents and dash removal. IMO

Alan when yoiu replace your let me know, I have some ideas about how to mount new ones without them cracking, but if you are needing them to clamp the vinyl from lifting my idea will not work.
