    forged wastegates psi issues?

Ok, well, i bought the forged billet wastegates from DR with the 15psi spring. So, put them on my car and they only go to 20 psi. WG psi is only at 9psi? So I talk to Matt and he said shim them? So, i shimmed them and adjusted the arm and wg pressure is still 9si and max is still 20psi? wtf? anyone else have this issue? I paid for the 15psi spring and its apparently not? Matt said they dont have the other springs so am i just SOL?

Not sure what to tell you there man. Have you talked to Matt since you shimmed them? Surely he can figure out what the deal is.

i sent him a pm, not responded back yet. Just the reason i went with those is to get more boost. stupid to spend $400 for less boost from DR RACING

Sin was blowing out stock wastegates above 23psi so he ordered a set of billet wastegates with 15psi springs from DR. Monet shipped Sin a set of Forge wategates and the order was not filled correctly. The wastegates have 9psi springs. The wastegates have been tested and confirmed to have 9psi springs.

He ordered 15psi springs . Now Matt's telling him to shim them? Alright, seriously, he didn't ask for shims Matt. He asked for 15psi springs. If you couldn't fill the order you should have said something or sent the right springs as soon as he informed you. Send him the springs he originally ordered Monet. It really bugs the hell out of him.

The wastegates need to be matched to the turbos, you cant just install them and expect them to work as advertised.

There is no room for adjustment. He's reached the maximum manifold holding pressure on the 9psi spring, 21psi. He needs a stronger spring.

Well if you guys are sure they are 9psi springs and he ordered 15 then yes I think Matt should source him some 15's as soon as he can.

Looks like Matt addressed this already on the other forum"

(would you like me to post all the PM's were I told you that over and over?) YOU are the one that chose to just bolt them on with out setting them up on your turbos with a hand pump like I told you too . I told you mitsu castings are different you MUST set-up the pre load. You close not to.

So, remove your turbos, and use the turn buckle on the actuators to set the pre-load with a hand pump that has a boost gauge, like I told you too in the first place. If you get that set and you still cant make boost your problem is elsewhere.

So that my friend is "the deal"
