    1996 Stealth RT $4500

    1996 $ 4500

I'm really considering selling my purple 96 Stealth R/T. It's been the single most reliable car we've owned over the last 3 or so years, but the number of vehicles we have, has gotten out of control

It is 1 of 1. Only 8 Orchid Pearl R/T's were produced in 96 (only year for that color as well), and it is the ONLY one with black interior. I have never seen another purple R/T anywhere... N/A or TT. It won best stock car at ECG the first year I bought it Back in 08 or 09.

This car has been all over the place, Indianapolis for NG10, North Carolina multiple times... it really just goes, and never gives me any problems. It runs VERY strong, oil pressure is spot-on, it shifts VERY nicely (5spd).... really just a fantastic daily driver. Highway driving gets 28mpg, you can probably eek out 29mpg if you really take it easy

It has been loaned to a number of our customers over the years, and they are all extremely impressed with how well it drives, not even considering the mileage

It will be sold with a brand new 60k service, and new front wheel bearings, we'll be bringing it into the shop once we get my white TT back on the road (clutch problem), new oil change, etc.

The dial on the radio also works.... surprisingly enough

It has a clean title. Chassis is straight, no crashes of any kind with the car, underbody is in fantastic condition, no real rust at all on it, it's 100% original (will come with the original wheels, I have 1g VR4 wheels on it now). And as far as we know, the original engine and transmission.

    The bad:

the paint on the roof, over the last few months, has gotten pretty bad. The clearcoat is peeling. Otherwise, the body is in nice shape overall, and shines up nicely. There are a lot of rock chips on the hood, and a scuff/dent on the passenger front fender, and a small scuff/dent on the rear quarter panel, from the previous owner that I never fixed. The paint is original, so, it's not going to be perfect. It's a road queen It also has some pretty good lifter tick, but clears up after a long distance trip, and is quiet as a mouse.

It also has 285k miles But like I said, I wouldn't hesitate to drive to California tomorrow with it.

The story on the car that I got when I bought it, was the original owner was a tech for Dodge, owned it for quite a long time, and sold it to a 3s enthusiast/long time customer of ours. No one in his family wanted the car, because it has this HORRID 80's style z-pin striping... in pink and lavender He traded it in on a 97 3000GT we were selling on e-bay.

Hans was forced to drive the car for a few weeks while I was away filming the Bullrun show, so, the first day he had it, he removed the pin striping... he REFUSED to be seen driving with it!

Anyway, I'm really sad at the thought of selling it... but, I'll be happy to see it go to an enthusiast. I will not be listing it locally, only on the forum(s).

We had just put these wheels/tires on it, since they had brand new tires at the time. The original wheels will go on the car when it's sold.

A few more pictures from today from my cell

A sexy model always helps sell a car, right?
