Single Turbo Lexus SC300 2JZ-GE

Im going to check it out this weekend as a possible trade for my vr4. The only things I know for sure is that it’s a 2JZ-GE motor, its got a thicker head gasket to bring the CR down to ~8.3:1, a turbo kit with a T-60 turbo, 450cc injectors, walbro fuel pump. Right now its at 5-7psi.

Im not 100% sure if I will go through with this deal though. It sounds like the car isn’t making much power and I really don’t want to trade my vr4 (with a forged bottom end) for a car with a stock bottom end that ill have to rebuild to make decent power with. From what I understand the stock GE bottom end is only good to around 500whp if you have a great tune.

im still trying to do as much research as i can on the different 'setups' and how much power they will support, but i cant find much info. what worries me the most is the fact that hes only at 5-7psi. i just cant figure out why a car with all the supporting mods wouldnt take advantage of the turbo and be running at least 18-20psi.

Im pretty much just going to check out the quality of the build/see if the owner knows his stuff and see what happens. I might walk away, or I might trade.

Anyone on here have any info on these cars? Or any info that will help me make the decision to either trade or walk away from it?
