    ever hear of Dave from supraforums? he ran LOOW 9's on a bone stock GE bottom end way back in the day. and hes not the only one thats pushed those blocks damn near as far as the gte motors.

    i'm not exactly new to the 2jz platform by any means...

    will that trans really only take 400's? i thought the 5 speeds were really strong? the V160 trans cost about $3000 plus the cost of a clutch to go with it... thats quite a chunk of change.

    Yep, hence why I dropped the idea. I'd have had to go R154 or 6spd to hold what the engine is capable of. OR spend like 3k on a th400 w/ overdrive. No spanx.
