There is one on going issue that Ryan was talking about, that one customers car. That is crappy, what it seemed like to me from the outside is the guy was a dick, Hans took it personal instead of looking at it as a business. Which is what you NEVER want to do.

I agree, people can change, but...

10 years ago? Are you telling me the 'unresolved' customer car has been ongoing for 10 years? Did GZP even exist 10 years ago?

GTPro got people to trust them over and over and over again.......... And they never even got permabanned!

Actually Wono car was an eight year old case, and was the ONLY past issue that came up after GZP status was "reinstated" on 3si. With that being said, I have no problems purchasing things from GZP now, even though I know more than most about their tainted past.

Has something about their business changed that can give customers peace of mind? Is it just the amount of time since there's been a dispute? GZP is an incredible resource for used parts, and I'd like to be able to trust them.

Pretty much what John said above, they had a rocky start in the beginning. Most of the issues were from 2002-2005 ( give or take a year or so). From what I know they took care of Wono's car and handled all their past issues. Why do I think they handled all their past issues, because NOBODY other than Wono came forward. Trust me, I read a lot of shit about GZP when I became a moderator, it was "an assignment" lol, but today I would still give them money for parts.

No business on 3si has 100% positive feedback. GZP has made the most with their second chance on 3sgto. The only "complaint" I have seen was from Thadd.

BTW: lawdogg's post is post #19 from, if memory serves me correct, an 11 page thread (30 post/page).

That's a pretty good endorsement... considering it comes from the current/former? classifieds mod.

^It took some time for me to come to that conclusion... a year ago I would have said the opposite. I had to do a lot of research of GZP past and it was not good. But again a lot of issues were over 5 years old, so I couldn't determine if they were resolved or not. There was a resolution center set up for GZP, PMs sent and phone number passed out. Of all the "past issues" the only one that came back was Wono's.

I understand why lawdogg made this thread. But at the same time, I don't think it should reflect on the current business practices at GZP, because in my eyes they have made a 180 degree turn around.

Also, if GZP was such a "threat" to the community why would Alan allow them on 3SGTO when he knows their past probably better than anybody?

    My take on GZP history.

GZP was the 1st business/person banned from 3si sales. Their were numerous issues many of them I feel from Hans not really knowing how to run a business.

Em at one point starting selling parts on 3si. I knew the parts were coming from GZP and she refused to be honest with me about their source. She was very young at that point and I thing she felt she'd get bump if she told me the truth. (I'd have let he stay had she owned up to it.)

Over the following years their were several behind the scenes things as GZP tried to access 3si as a sales resource. Even a period where EM was allowed to sell for a while.

Over the years I watched them as they conducted business and it seamed to me that they were learning the correct way to run a business. Not perfect yet but getting much better.

On 7/8/10 Hans sent me this PM on another forum we both use.

I did not see this PM until the next day when I also got

Here is a huge point that many people seem to have gotten wrong. I was pissed at AF for not talking to us about GZP as a sponsor before signing a deal with them. Letting GZP back onto 3si should not have been AF's call. It should have been the mod staff's call.

As evidenced by their status here I felt a second chance was deserved. I still watch them. They are not perfect, but at this point I do not regret letting them sponsor 3sgto.

Based on what I have been told, I feel that the way GZP was treated on 3si after their return was shitty. Their past mistakes were head over their heads and some of the mods were actively looking for reasons to boot them. If my understanding of the events that occurred after my departure is accurate they should be taking AF to court for breach of contract.

IMO Ryan should delete this thread and EM should remove that image from her sig. Then they both need to just move on. Whats done it done. Its the past learn from it don't rehash it to death.

Thanks Alan. I'll gladly delete this thread once Emilie removes her defamatory sig pic and refrains from any and all other references to me.

I really didn't want this thread to be about GZP's business practices at all. As I alluded to in my post, I really do think Hans is infinitely capable of great things. So, if GZP is doing well here I think that's awesome, and my commentary shouldn't be read to reflect poorly upon them now.

All I wanted to do was give everyone the context of Emilie's slander towards me, to show how she edited it down and allow you to draw inferences according to the thing as a whole.

Why does it have to be an "if, then" issue? I've learned a long time ago just to walk away from things that bother me and stop with the "mountain, molehill" idealogy and be the "better" person.

    know-what-I-mean?
