Deleted my oil cooler.

What is the biggest I can fit in the stock location? I have a FMIC so I really don't want to put it up front.

I'm checking into a 11x8x2 Fluidine core. I wonder if it'll fit in the sidemount position.

Were you able to reinstall the crash bar?

yeah dual ftw. but I like my big ass single front mount better way simpler and cheaper solution I didn't even have to make a bracket to hold it + oem shrouding fits .Overall install was a breeze
with the oem cooler I could see temps as high as 140C even more during very hard driving .
I haven´t seen temps exceed 110c with this one, not a surprise it is about 8+ times bigger than the oem one!

Oh, I am reading...but to me, deleting an item like an oil cooler because it is leaking is not the correct course of action. While things like the clutch booster tank can be removed without ill effects, things like the oil cooler are there for a very good purpose and IMO shouldn't be deleted if leaking, they should be fixed. Unless it's a temp thing to limp around out of boost until you can afford the time or money to fix it correctly.

The other issue not mentioned here is that Mitsu/Dodge felt that a cooler was necessary even given the cushy way ("GT") they felt the car would be driven. Even dogging a stock TT will put you into boost from time to time. Add high ambient temps and you may have problems. Granted original design was prior to common use of synthetics, but still a precaution to ensure a semblance longevity. I have a hard time believing that someone (1) that owns a TD05 car wouldn't dip into the TT DD; (2) that wrenches his own car wouldn't find it just as easy to fix the cooler as removing it; (3) a serious motor-head would bring this up wasting our time if he was just trying to 'mix things up'.
