Oh, I am reading...but to me, deleting an item like an oil cooler because it is leaking is not the correct course of action. While things like the clutch booster tank can be removed without ill effects, things like the oil cooler are there for a very good purpose and IMO shouldn't be deleted if leaking, they should be fixed. Unless it's a temp thing to limp around out of boost until you can afford the time or money to fix it correctly.

As long as everything is in good order, you wont have an issue. We do this on plenty of cars.

That being said, if you plan on auto crossing or road racing it would be a good thing to have im sure after all the continued high RPMs.

K cars never had oil coolers, turbo or not. Then again, they used coolant/oil cooled T3 garretts from the factory. On the other hand, some switched to oil cooled turbos. (the flavor they picked was not available with coolant cooling) Those cars are still on the road today. So for a longevity test, the only ill effects I could foresee would be higher cartridge temps, and what happens there is another discussion.

Then its time to replace it, Its there for a reason.. sure you can survive without but I would never completely delete it for good.
