i thought you guys might appreciate this

I put these bug traps down 2 days ago. Just wanted to check in with Reddit before I burn the house down : pics

"When I picked these up to set up this photo, I set them down and 2 or 3 of the spiders started moving. One of them was startled enough to break loose. Well, I had a can of Raid in hand, so I sprayed him. Then is when shit hit the fan.
The over spray from the runaway hit the spiders on the trap, they all started moving. Im guessing the pain gave them rage strength, because 2 more broke free from the glue, and the cycle continued as I sprayed those, getting more over spray on the remaining spiders, and more broke free. So I said fuck it and sprayed the whole trap, and all of the remaining living spiders were stricken with berserker strength and took off all over the floor.
I promptly shit my pants and ran away."

Holy shit, I bet that guy lives in TN... Those look like the same dead oak leaves we have in our garage, and those same big ass spiders. They don't make normal spider webs, they like live in grass (makes it interesting when mowing the yard). Luckily, I'm not really scared of spiders.

Note: most household bug sprays will not kill a spider. You need a size 10 for those big ass MFers.

in the comments there he (I assume it's a he) says that he's in harrisonburg, VA. close enough to have scary spiders. luckily, those are likely non-poisonous and are actually contributing to keeping other bugs out of his house.

though, that is only 2 days of having the traps down...

I think he forgot to hold a lighter in front of the bug spray.
