LR Brake anti rattle clip

Odd request, but I need the LR brake anti rattle clip. The metal piece that sits on top of the two prake pads and prevents them from making noise.

Part number is MB950668 if it helps. I don't need the retaining pin that holds the brake pad pins in.

It's the same for both sides, btw.

You need a "brake cross spring" looks like this >> t <<. They will have it at NAPA or a local dealership. A set is like $5. Brakes make a ton of noise without them. Some of the original OEM ones were Ti BTW.

NAPA would have these? They seem like a pretty specific part, since calipers are all different.

They sure do. For NA and for TT. Just ask for brake cross springs for year, make, model. The mitsu kit also has the upgraded silencer shims. A long time a go I did a writeup on 3SForums about calipers, rotors, and "brake cross springs", that forum no longer exists so the info was swallowed into an abyss.

Turns out, this part is not available at NAPA or Advance. They don't even carry reman VR4 rear calipers.

So, still looking. If you have this little bugger lying around in your pile of trinkets, let me know.

I have purchased a brake hardware kit for a VR-4 before. There is a centric kit and a Raybestos kit. Napa, and Advanced both stock Raybestos. Here is the MFR number to buy at the store for $12. RayH15771 or just H15771

are you talking about the spring that clips between the 2 pins and puts pressure against the pads?

They are like $3.00 from the dealer. I have a spare, but I'm not sure I want to sell it. They have a habit of coming off.

Yes, the cross spring. He's saying they don't stock them. $3 ea sounds right since the entire hardware kit is $12.
