Hmm, I am going to look into the 3.5 more after reading this post. Kinda exciting thinking about it, swap could be a fun winter project...

I'm sitting on just below 200HP at the front wheels before the cam gears were set.

They do! My 3.5L would feel great but top out around 6300RPM and just sound like it's going to explode. Wasn't very pleasing. Decided to turn my cam gears to the -3 +1 "standard" as I've seen so often and HELL YEAH. The car would just power through 6300RPM now all the way up to 7000RPM. Even when it got to 7000RPM it wouldn't sound as choked as it did before i tuned the cam gears. I've only ever had my car dyno'd with the gears set at 0. I honestly know know it would make a bit more power with them adjusted.
I should clarify lol. it is the CORRECT JDM block for the swap that was already swapped into a 3000gt a long time ago. It spun a bearing, and I was contracted to pull it out. now it's just sitting around.

3S's NEVER came with a 3.5 from the factory at any point, so the engine is not 'originally' from a 3000gt LOL.

and that's great to know! I'd bet they'd do the same on a 3.0 as well.

Not exactly cheap, but the best mod we have done to an N/A. It DOUBLED the wheel horsepower and can be set-up as a sleeper if you so desire.
