Honestly, I don't go into the buyer/seller section of 3si anymore because it's frankly a dick measuring contest now, and frankly I've got no time for people that would rather have it done THEIR way at the expense of actually helping the people they signed on to help. It's a fucking joke..and I treat it as such. I will never in my life lift another finger to help someone in there, solicited or not.

Speaking of "their" TD05 kit, we are a dealer for CX Racing as well. We bought one of their first kits (which were designed, or assisted in design by SSM) and it didn't fit in many places. Both O2 housing had to be modified and some of the IC piping. We're working with CX Racing to rectify the problems so that they can sell a nice fitting kit for a good price. We are also working on the rear turbo wastegate actuator mounting that Patryn had showed pics of on that other site.

Here are a couple of pics of the kit we reworked.

We also knew of the problem with the CX Racing intake manifold flange being welded on upside down. This was another product SSM helped design and told CX Racing that it was working properly.

I'll try to post up some of the pics of the process of making the td05 kit fit, but it went from a 2 day install to a 1.5 week install do to all of the fabricating. We're hoping to work with CX Racing and have a good fitting kit available for the 3S community.

I take it that kit was designed better than mine was. It was almost as if the header pipes were a 0.25" to small for the header flange ports. Plus the offset of the pipes and areas just filled in with extra weld. Pictures are over at 3SI, but you would have to see the kit in person to see just how poor it was. Thing is I told Jesse to spare no expense on my kit, that I wanted it perfect and was willing to pay more in order for it to be right and fit. Then they send me the crap they did.

Sounds familiar - like with a certain shop instigated a SMIC GB and moved from CA to TX.

I wanted to believe in SSM since their SMIC kit looked promising, but there was too much flash and not enough history with them. It would be hard pressed for a new company to enter this market and compete against the likes of the established pioneers on this platform. Just way too much distrust now.

Had warren been a nobody, or made the odd mistake here and there, then I'm pretty sure nobody would care. But he had SCAMMED alot of members out of their money. It was your fucking DUTY to pass that info on to everyone IN A BIG WAY. How? Shit that wouldn't be hard, start a thread. Now I know you can't do that because members wouldn't buy from SSM knowing he's there and that affects your sites money intake. So it's a conflict of interest dont you think? I know mods are in a tough spot because you dont get paid, get treated like nothing at times, but that's the job right? Looking out for the members of your forum. Maybe our business ethics are different.

    Scotty
WTF, their "DUTY"? Seriously, how fucking hard was it to google SSM in the google search box on 3si? I have said it before, I don't give a shit how much money either site makes. I'm sorry but the mods aren't there/here to hold people's hand.

There ARE more than one thread about LMI/Warren/SSM, what do you want a new fucking one every week? Hardly anybody reads stickies anymore, every week I got at least 10 requests on how to become a verified seller when it was in big RED LETTERS.

I didn't like the fact the SSM became a vendor on 3si, as I thought he wouldn't pay the cost (because that is what he said). But then he paid, and I thought it was only to peddle Cianci shit.

There were members who could vouch for Jesse and went to his shop. In fact, people that posted in the LMI=SSM purchased from SSM knowing full well Warren was there. Also they had positive feedback. Read the last 5 or 6 posts, shit read the whole thread.

    Lmi = ssm?? - Page 2 - 3000GT/Stealth International Message Center

Also other than Patryn and one another member (that hasn't started a thread), I didn't realize there were so many people waiting. Not that it matters now because all I can do is read. Also there isn't much a moderator can do once it has been several months. Whenever I contacted ChatzVR4 he was very quick to respond, like within a couple of hours. Other than opening up communications and banning people, the moderators have "no more power" than the individuals involved.

The funniest part is all of a sudden it is the mods/Warren's fault for this whole debacle... where is Jesse's name during all this. After all he has put up the licences and Tax ID to prove it is his business.

The ONLY things that the mods can be held accountable for now is why SSM is still a sponsor on 3si. Maybe it is in the works, but I would be making sure their subforum is taken down, but that usually takes some time over there.

Patryn, I have another set of the td05 manifolds here at the shop that we're going to modify and send back so they can be reproduced. I will try to post up some pics of them so you can see what SSM had started with.

The phony tracking numbers is a scheme which Warren had pulled with us when we had ordered 3 sets of turbos that "were on the shelf". We received them almost 3 months later, and surprisingly enough, the tracking number was the right one. We got a mish mosh of turbos that didn't fit together correctly and most were hanging out of the box when we got them. But, that's for another thread haha.

Aren't there significant modifications that are going to be necessary? For sure the collectors, and sizing of the pipes. Additionally, the way the O2 housings are made does not appear well suited for TD05 turbos. If anyone was going to reproduce something why not base it off the old Titan Bending manifolds with some very slight revisions. I've got a set of those here and other than a few mods to it, they are perfect. Only thing I would change is a minor bolt/stud clearing issue on the rear O2 housing, using studs on the rear O2/downpipe connections, and moving the front turbo up and a little closer to the engine to give the radiator more clearance and oil drain more elevation as opposed to having to relocate the oil drain lower on the oil pan. I guess a downpipe to match too, as I had to weld an extra flex section into mine to get it to line up (one of the old ATR style).

Otherwise, the SSM based kit from what I saw looks inferior to all the kits out there, 3SX, IPS, and the old DR style kit. I talked with Jesse at lengths before I bought his POS TD05 kit how I wanted it to mirror the old DR Kit. He claimed he could customize these kits and they fit perfectly since they were built off an engine there, but not the case I guess. Was hoping for a bolt on affair from down-pipe, to turbo kit, to oil lines, etc. He couldn't even get the downpipe right. I know I went over the fact that the down-pipe needed two O2 bungs, but the one they sent didn't have them, not that it was built any better than the kit as a whole anyway. Just one screw up after another with SSM through this ordeal. I'm sure more people will begin to come out of the wood-work as SSM remains in hiding.

We modified the kit to work with any ATR style downpipe as well as using the stock front oil return line so it will clear the front engine mount. I'll post up some pics in a bit so you can see what they did to the manifolds and O2 housings before they sent them to you.

Without knowing any details or researching the matter, I'm guessing it's that whole "too good to be true" / "you get what you pay for" thing that people fell for...again.

These are pictures of the manifolds and O2 housings straight from CX Racing. Please note that Kevin at CX Racing is a stand up guy and is absolutely not happy with the way the headers and O2 housings came out which is why we're working with him to make them right.

We'll be reworking the ports and fitment so that it's a straight bolt on ordeal.
