Just so you know Docsis 2 supports download rates of up to about 30MB per second. I know because I designed them for years

I don't care about the download as much as the upload speeds. I've already picked out a new modem Motorola Wireless Gateway Modem

Yeah, they only offer up to 5Mbps for Docsis 2.0, though it supports up to 30ish Mbps down and up. D3 can go muuuch higher depending on how many channels are bondable. They have a 60/10 plan though, which I'm sure is what they were offering you on the day to day trial, but you have to have a d3 modem to get those download speeds.

As an update, I got an email from TW this morning saying they increased my speeds, at no charge to me. I ran a speednet test and got 15Mbps down and .44Mbps up. Unplugged my modem for 30 sec, ran the test again, and now I'm getting 22Mbps down, and 1Mbps up (almost double the highest upload I've ever seen.) Highest upload I saw regularly is about 17, but 15 is probably my average. An extra 7 Mbps down for no charge, no complaints here! Really not bad at all for $30 a month.
