I was bragging the other day about the GT, how reliable its been.
Shouldn't have done that .. should have known better.
OK ... 97 SL .. standard air, not the automatic option.
When I turn on the A/C, the light inside the push button lights up green as is normal.
A/C comes on and is generating cold air.
After a short time tho (seconds, not minutes) the light will start flashing & A/C is no longer blowing cold air.
Cycle the button again, same thing happens.
When the light is not flashing, the A/C is cold.
If I'm running above 2500 - 3000 rpm, the light stays lit and A/C continues to operate properly.
All my driving since this first happened has been in town, no trips of any distance so I'm don't know if it'll operate flawlessly on the road.
Could this problem be associated with the clutch, and if so, do I need to replace the entire assy?
As I said, when the push button's light's lit, A/C works just fine.
