I know there are a lot of old timer guys out there who live breathe and die Corvettes, but from what I've seen, the C5 and C6 don't have as passionate a following as the older (even the C4) Vette did. Whether this is due to other manufacturers coming out with sports cars of their own that are more appealing, or just my observances in my geographical area only... The C5/6 models aren't looked at as collectible, at all. I remember when I was looking to buy my very first Stealth TT, back in 1995, I had 17k to spend. I could afford a 300hp, 1991 Stealth TT, for about 15-16k, or I could get a 86-87 Corvette with far less horsepower and dated looks. However, that was the going rate... they were all viewed as collectible.

If you want a Vette in the future, you won't have a problem finding one for sale if you decide to go that route again.

todd's right. c5's are pretty cheap, including the z06's. probably has a lot to do with the c6 base having about the same HP as the c5 z06. and now that the ls3 is the standard, the ls2's will be going for cheap too.

You really aren't talking about the c5....So you could have got the c4 for the same price as the stealth? wtf? stfu

btw, race your stealth tt against the c5....lets see who wins. the c4 was and is the most noncollectable vette out there

Yea.. my friend has a bolton C5 Z06 and it will be a long time until I will be able to hang with it. Stock there is no way one of TT Models will keep up. They weigh 3050 lbs with no driver and make more NA HP than us...

Yes, I'm talking about the C5. They are a dime a dozen. There were a lot of purists out there that hated the look of the C5, and the rear mounted tranny, fixed headlights...
When I bought my FIRST Stealth TT, in 1995... a C4 from 86-87 with comparable miles was the same price as a 91 TT.

I regularly whipped up on my friend in his C5 ZO6, just so you know.

Stealths are a dime a dozen as well. You are acting like you drive some super rare Ferrari....I got news for you bud.....you drive a stealth.

I don't know why you keep comparing the c4 and c5....they aren't even the same freaking car. Guarantee, the Vette will get more compliments than your Stealth.

Please point out where I'm "acting like I drive a super rare Ferrari." You seem to have a hard on for Corvettes and are just being argumentative. Ok... I don't really give a shit.

I don't really expect you to understand why the old school Vette purists don't like the newer generations. You're hardly a car enthusiast.

The corvette and the 3kvr4 has always been my 2 favorite cars. Yes, I am a corvette fan above all. After all, it is America's sports car.

On the other hand, you keep bringing up the crappy c4....that still looks like crap. I guarantee Sean's Vette looks wayyyyyyy better than your stealth.
