    Dani's 2008 Evolution X GSR

Some of you know my wife Dani through her old green 92 VR-4 or met her at NG this year. Ever since we sold her VR-4 to BrianHag she has been itching for something fun to drive again. We tossed around a lot of ideas and finally settled on an Evo X. We found pretty much exactly what we were looking for and the rest is history.

2008 Evo X GSR with the SSS package. Previously one owner, 32,000 miles and it's never in it's life been through an automatic car wash!

The SSS package comes with a decent Rockford Fosgate sound system (with sub in trunk), bigger MR spoiler, adjustable level HIDs, and the F.A.S.T. key. The key is really cool, you just put it in your pocket, get in the car, and crank it up. You can unlock/lock the doors and open the trunk without ever taking the key out of your pocket.

Mods: Tomei Titanium exhaust, AMS downpipe, AMS short shifter, AMS test pipe, Cobb Stage 2 tune, RalliArt tail lights

Gonna do a full detail/photoshoot this weekend.

Geeze, hard to believe they've been away from the 4G63 that long.

Any hesitation buying a modded car, particularly given the stereotype that evo's and sti's are universally ragged by owners?

I'd have gone for the IX, but nice car. Should fit a baby seat if that was one of the constraints... haha

This will be ammo for me and Dani to convince my wife she wants one!

Yep, it's a Redline boot with white stitching. It's got an padded armrest cover in the same trim also.

I was never really big on the 8 and 9's styling and ridiculously cheap interior. Sure they are great no frills performance cars but Dani and I both couldn't really get over that for an earlier Evo. Granted the X is still a Lancer in many regards, I immediately thought that the Evo was another class above the new WRX/STi the first time I sat in one. The 4B11 is a great engine too and should take any and all abuse Dani or I will ever throw at it.

No hesitation at all about buying this particular car. I spent half the day yesterday with the previous and only owner of the car and know this car has been very well taken care of. I have every receipt of every dollar spent on the car except for gas. I have the original window sticker, know the dealership where it has been serviced, etc. My standards are extremely high (if you could have guessed ) and I could not have asked for a better buying situation.

I'm jealous of the padded armrest cover, haha. Sounds like you got a fantastic deal. Get some mud flaps or clear bra on there asap.

I'm not going to lie, I've wanted one for a while. Like Adam said I'm a bit paranoid about a car like that with some mods but I'd probably bought it also. ha ha
