    Help me Help Chris

Okay guys, I'm going to be polishing up rear valve covers & donating them in support of IPO. They will be sold on the auction site set up by gonzo.

Unfortunately this leaves me in need of cores. If you guys have any laying around, or buy one of the polished pieces I would love to get your core in return.

Also, I would like some input of what the price should be. A "buy it now" format is what I would prefer, but I'm open to suggestions. If I could possibly start a trend I would be glad to offer them for a much lower price. The support is almost as important as the money raised.

Here are some pictures of my previous work. (Picture of loop was taken before clear coat, which killed the shine)

I've actually been looking to get both of my valve covers polished, but I was hoping that whoever did it polished the recessed areas as well. Does anyone do that?

Basically, I'm interested. Let me know when you figure out a price.

Are you talking about where the mounting bolts go or where the spark plugs go... or both. If you are talking about where the spark plugs go, that would pretty labor intensive and a PITA.

I'll let you know if it is worth it... ie: labor cost. I've been slowly working on my first valve cover... for my car

I could probably send you a few cores. You just pay for shipping. I think I should have at least 2 fronts and 2 rears. I don't know if you would be interested but I should have some NA plenums as well I'd donate.

I just want the stuff that's visible to be polished and I haven't used one of those OEM-style spark plug covers in years... Although there are some nice looking $15 carbon fiber covers for sale on the Chris-Auction site, so maybe I'll just buy 1 of those.

As for this specific thread and the rear valve cover... The only thing I'd like to see polished is that recession near the timing belt. Again, I don't know if it's common practice for that to be left un polished or not.

Ask for cores when you sell these.

    EDIT: nice work BTW
