I think the Giants could pull off an upset. Not saying I want GB to lose, but being a Pats fan I have seen how dangerous the Giants can be in the playoffs.

Son of Green Bay Packers' offense coach found dead in river - CNN.com

(CNN) -- A body pulled from a Wisconsin river has been identified as the son of Green Bay Packers' offensive coordinator Joe Philbin, police said Tuesday.

Michael Philbin, 21, went missing early Sunday while in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, to visit friends, police said.

No cause of death has been determined, and an autopsy was set for Tuesday, Oshkosh Police Chief Scott Greuel said at a news conference
    Sad stuff...

I read an account of this in the regional rag that pissed me off a wee bit; actually, more than a bit - I forgot to see what the feed was.

I little tid-bit I neither saw nor heard elsewhere, and I frankly don't know why they did what they did.

Ranked No. #1 in initial quality

Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.

Yea, and to a lesser degree ... you have Andy Reid's kids in and out of the paper for drugs.

On a somewhat related note, I wonder if McNabb understands why the game ended with Tebow's touch down pass in OT.

As for this coming Sunday ... you know God loves Tom Brady too

I retrieved the newspaper to see that the story I read was an AP feed - it included, as the very last sentence in the article, this:

"Michael Philben is the second-oldest of six children to Joe Philben and his wife, Diane. He was sentenced to six months in jail in 2009 after he was convicted of sexually assaulting two young girls."

Struck me as mighty odd, and pretty damned gratuitous, given the circumstances.

Its entirely possible, and would love to see, all the underdogs win this weekend. Especially considering that defenses and running games usually win.

Giants are dangerous and coming on strong when they need to; they played the Pack well in their last meeting despite loss. Harbaugh has the 49ers playing at a high level on both sides of the ball; while the Saints looked "human" in their win over the Lions, basically winning a shoot out with gutsy calls from Sean Payton. Texans were very impressive in their win last week (defense and run); while Ravens have done great but are inconsistent. We all know what Tebow did to the #1 ranked defense as unorthodox as he is; if they can keep Brady on the sidelines and on his back, and with a little help from the man upstairs

I would definitely take all the point spreads.

I will say, the Niners/Saints game was one of the best playoff games I have ever had the fortune to witness. Wow.
