The joke around here is the Steelers have a bye next weekend.

Our defense didn't show up, no argument there.

But I will say, I don't care who you root for the officiating of that game was beyond garbage. If the situation were reversed and the Packers were the ones getting screwed I'd maintain the same view (might feel a little better about it, though ). The refs really ruined the integrity of that football game, I think Schwartz had every right to be upset. Granted, we still blew another chance to win the game, but if that Titus Young TD was accurately called, it would've been 48-45 Lions.

    Oh well, playoffs baby!

I like the Lions chances against NO. They only got us by 14 points when our defense was depleted, Stafford's finger was still busted, and our only real run option (Smith) was out. As of late, Stafford has been on par with Brees. NO has no defense (although if ours plays like they did Sunday all bets are off). I think we could see a thriller in NO this weekend.

“The danger to America is not Barack Obama but a citizenry capable of entrusting a man like him with the presidency. It will be easier to limit and undo the follies of an Obama presidency than to restore the necessary common sense and good judgment to a depraved electorate willing to have such a man for their president. The problem is much deeper and far more serious than Mr. Obama, who is a mere symptom of what ails us. Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. The republic can survive a Barack Obama, who is, after all, merely a fool. It is less likely to survive a multitude of fools such as those who made him their president.” -- Author Unknown

I think you may be right, Tony.
Ranked No. #1 in initial quality

Idiots, simply by being idiots, seem capable of achieving randomly bad things that are beyond the imaginings of sensible people.

I called it after superbowl last year, Pack repeats, and I'm stikcing with that call. That group is just too damn good, this year. I'm hoping the Steelers make it to the superbowl to face the Pack....just to piss everybody off.

It was poorly officiated, no doubt.

Ryan Clarke is a brusier and it sucks that he has the rare blood disorder affected by the high altitude. While I'd love to see him playing Sunday I completely understand Tomlin's position. Mundy, while not as versatile as Clarke, is a solid fill-in.

Facing any team of a better than average caliber is troublesome for Denver. Steelers are back on a downward spiral from the last few weeks. I don't think they are going to be the team they were last year in the playoffs. We'll see.
