Had blood tests done last week at Hopkins. Off chemo for 1 month 17 days with no maintenance drugs.

Got my blood test results back yesterday. And my blood numbers are great!

HGB is at 16 (normal is 12-14, higher is better) and my M Spike is still at 0.1 !!!! My diet is keeping it at bay. YAY!!! Can't wait for the Stem Cell transplant and get into full remission!

I need it done as soon as possible before the cancer that is left grows out of control again. Please do what you can, every dollar helps. No donation is too small. Someone asked on FB so I thought I would answer here also.

How much is the transplant?

All told with travel and lodging, it's a 2 month stay up at Johns Hopkins, $200,000. Lots of tests, PET scans, bone marrow tests, blood tests, chemo. Gonna be scary, but needs to be done. I will lose my immune system, meaning every immunization and flu/cold I ever got is gone. It will take 12 months for my immune system to start resembling a normal immune system again. Some of the immunizations (measles, chicken pox, polio etc) I can start getting 12 months after, some have to wait up to 3 years before I can get them. And every cold and flu my body got and built immunity to will all be new again. Yuck...
