    clicking noise???

So i have this really annoying clicking noise that only arises when i try starting the car, the car starts really fast so im postive it has nothing to do with the ignation. the noise seems to be coming from somewhere on the passenger interior. behind the glove box maybe??? Its not mechincal i can tell that much it sounds like somthing electrical. correct me if im wrong but is there not somthing to do with the blower motor behind there? that only comes to mind becuase my car wont blow any air what so ever out of the ducts. would really hate to tear the car apart on just a hunch. anyone else have any suggestions? Or im i on the right track?

You're sure it's not the starter clicking? It may still turn the engine over and start, but from what you're describing and the location, it sounds like the starter is on its way out.

no i dont think so, you can only hear it from inside the car.

would this cause a lean condition? i have replaced my fuel pump, fuel pump assembly, injectors, fpr trying to track this down, im going to be a little ticked if it was simply a relay. whats the procedure for testing it is it the same as this dsm guide?MFI/Fuel Pump Relay - DSM Forums

    thanks

Test it as you would any other relay. The clicking noise is probably it malfunctioning, if it does it while you're driving, and yes, it DOES control the fuel pump relay.

Now, this could also be from a bad ECU (if you have a first gen).

Sounds normal to me, I don't believe it will click more than once as you start the car though.
