Oil filter anti-drainback valve release pressure

    Hi All,

Previously I have used a Ryco Z79A filter and have had no issues. However I have heard some bad stories about Ryco filters failing etc. I spoke to a mate who rebuilds turbos and fuel systems and he said to try a Baldwin filter. I asked him to order me one and gave him Z79A as a cross reference. I dropped in to pick it up today and he advised me the Baldwin equivelent for the z19a has an 8psi bypass pressure and that the website lists a different code for the 3/S which has a 20psi pypass pressure.
What are you guys all using?

    Z79A equivelant - B179

I also used one of these previously but the 3sx site does not advise the pressure.

I just use OEM filters. They are less than $5 each.
