Thread: Meanwhile in Australia. LOL

Eh...live and let live. It drives me nuts when people freak out over animals. I mean, when someone sees a fox or a bear in the neighbourhood, they freak out and call animal control/ MNR, and this is northern ontario for pete's sake. When I'm walking down the street and see a bear, I stop and wave, then wait till it walks away.

Its only scary if you're not used to it.

And come on guys...dock spiders are bigger than that little funnel web.
"This is a ridiculous cause and effect suggestion."
"Yeah, kind of like the sun rising and then morning happening, eh? What are they trying to pull on us?"

"If I wanted to hear from an asshole, I'd fart into a microphone."

"It's easy. Take the last f*ck, and let it go, and thus you shall have no more f*cks to give."

Its not so much the size of the funnel web, they're big, there are bigger and I think there's even one more poisonous than them in Brazil.
...the difference is, that I've never met an animal like it which was just such a single minded, poisonous, aggressively murderous c*nt that basically takes no crap. Poke a normal spider with a stick, it'll just bugger off somewhere else to be left alone, poke a funnel web and its the equivalent of telling someone, you've just rooted their mum, their dad and then shot their dog.
It will run you down (they are NOT SLOW) and you will be the sorriest motherf**ker that ever drew breath if it bites you!

I couldn't agree more..... Most Australians don't care/worry about the animals at all..... infact the guys who were using the building with the 7m snake in it said they used to pat it when it was sunbaking

I took a date to MT Tamborine (Next to the Gold Coast, Qld) years ago. We had a picnic in a park. We were sitting under a tree doing what you do. A kookaburra landed in the tree a few meter above us just staring at the ground near the edge of our blanket. After about 10 mins it swooped down flipped over a patch of dirt and ate a Trapdoor spider (looks like a Funnelweb) Actually I'm not sure which one it was cause they look the same. Then within a few minutes it swooped down and pulled a 2 foot worm out of the ground. My date was ruined by nature lol.

TBH I'm suprised the locals didn't just pick it up and throw it back in the creek. When they are that small they are not dangerous at all. To us it's funny but it might freak out some tourists lol.

They say everything's bigger in Texas...

I had no idea gators were native to west Texas.

Hmm... A handful of gators have been found in one of Austin's lakes (Travis), but it is assumed that they're former pets and there's no significant population.

I assume that would be the case in San Antonio as well. And FYI, SA is not west Texas.
