if you cant fix it with a hammer...then you have an electrical problem
i picked up a nice mossberg 500a 12g with pistol grip and folding stock
As cheesy as it is, it well illustrates just how silly the idea of a "gun free zone" is in the United States.
Thanks for the link... some fast developing news on this. I dropped by Home Depot yesterday to pick up a few things and discovered they started stocking Biometric Safes. I was really surprised to see that!
They have four models on the sales floor at my local store. According to the Store Manager they have more available online.
They have several different models. The four major styles are a corner closet biometric, a bookshelf GunVault, and under the bed drop door GunVault, and a Nightstand/ Bed Drawer Gun Vault.
First One is a Sentry Biometric with 1.2 CF. It's key, code, and fingerprint.
1.2 cu. Fire-Safe ft. Water Resistant Biometric Lock Safe-DSW3950 at The Home Depot
Second is a GunVault Biometric Gun Safe with .65 CF. IT's key, and fingerprint.
MultiVault 7.9 in. H x 14 in. D x 10.1 in. W Biometric Personal Safe-GVB2000 at The Home Depot
Third choice is this under the bed styled one:
MiniVault 9.4 in. H x 12 in. D x 8.1 in. W Biometric Personal Safe-GVB1000 at The Home Depot
Last one is the Nightstand/Bed Drawer style:
DrawerVault 4.25 in. H x 12 in. D x 10 in. W Biometric Personal Safe-GVB3000 at The Home Depot
They're all on sale right now for 20% off and we can use our Veterans or Active Duty Military discounts for an additional 10% off.
All but the Sentry are under $200 with the current discounts. Home Depot appears to be the least expensive place to get them at the moment, also. Which one of these four would you guys recommend for a defense safe? BTW, I checked them out and found them all to be quiet safes . Just an LED indicator for lock and unlock. You can hear a mouse walk when you open the GunVaults.
Dont really mind about the bolt down feature. Safe could get stolen and it wouldn't bother me the least bit. That's what insurance is for. It's more about preventing my kids from accessing. Its too many steps to go to the big safe and grab defensive firearms. Safe contents will likely be defense firearms for me and her which consists of Smith and Wesson 640 and a Glock 23, spare car keys, flash bangs, a few grand, flashlights w/strobes, and passports.
Thats a good little pile there, you may need the larger versions cause we have the drawer style...but only keep a S&W 686 in it, and i wouldnt wanna be rattling around trying to get it out, with that other stuff![]()
