Picked up my 3rd handgun today. Glock 26 with night sight brand new $515

just got of probation, went on 8 days after my 18th birthday, so i decided to buy a mosin 91/30, my buddy said it would be a good starter rifle, do any of you guys have any experince with them it was just so damn cheap i wanna make sure it's not going to be a peice.

I've never personally shot a Mosin but I know a thing or two about them. They are an old Russian rifles that can be picked up for next to nothing these days. Make sure the gun is in very good condition as modern high powered ammo has blown the barrels on those.

Ammo: AMM-653 - Ammo 7.62x54R Romanian FMJBT 149 Grain 440 Round Can Surplus Light Ball Corrosive its decent ammo, I have used 2 spam cans myself but its corrosive so always clean clean clean when your done. I dont buy from cheaper than dirt but thats the can your looking for when it comes to cheap ammo to plink away. if your lucky yours will shoot that ammo at 1" group at 100 yards like one of mine does ( its rare but I have owned 8 different ones and only one does it so far) I have a C&R so I can order them online and get them shipped to my house which is awesome (saves the dealer transfer fee) Any other questions feel free to pm me, ask them here, or both.

Edit: forgot there is tons of information as to modifying it to have a smoother bolt, and lighter trigger amongst other things. because these are so inexpensive right now its a fun gun to try things out with. (fyi the price on these has went up over the past year or two. When I first started getting into these I could get them for 59.99, now most local shops sell them at 99-129.)
