i like what i like. there's no rhyme or reason to it. rhythm has a LOT to do with whether or not i like something.

pick a genre & i can share some of my favorites. my tastes are far too ecclectic to "fit" in any one area.

My point would be (now that you've helped me out by using the word "eclectic" to refer to your musical tastes) that no one listens to 'only' Top 40 - that would almost be impossible.

Athena (love the song), from the same album as Eminence Front, doesn't make the cut, because it got some big radio play.

I was tempted to laugh about "Golden Age"...until I realized you were right - there actually was a Golden Age for that stuff.

No, not that - MJ and I were the same age - I am 53 today - I grew up with him, and liked most of his stuff...it's just the title - I had, as you say, totally forgotten that one, and I fucking near pissed myself when I read it.
