    Oil Spill

Hey guys, major fail by me tonight. Went out for some sweet mexican food and got back to find the oil cap not in its normal home. Why you ask, because I put oil in yesterday and didn't put it back on.

There's freakin oil everywhere, no noise from the motor pressure stayed OK the entire trip. I'm motivating myself with beer right now to drain the oil to see how much is left. Can see a fair amount showing on the dipstick though which is a good sign.

Any thoughts on if it'll be OK. This awesome beer can only reassure me so much right now.

If the oil pressure gauge still showed good pressure then I think you will be ok.

OK I've polished off a few cans now feeling better. Plenty of oil on the dip stick and yeah oil pressure and temps stayed good. Hopefully the mess is the worst of it. Any tips there, just degrease the crap out of it?

And what's the go with the 2 forums. Do we post here or there or both?

if it's stuck on, degreaser can help. otherwise, if you're careful...you can try pressure-washing the bay. just be careful with the battery.

    p.s.
you must have missed the massive fallout...or you must be relatively new. either way, autoforums blocked/deleted everything pertaining to it. even now, this forum's domain can't be posted on that forum--without it being censored.

imho, if you want to support censorship & AF's money-grubbing policies--then by all means, keep posting on 3si. me personally, i'd rather support a forum run by an owner; one without censorship; and where petty politics & the attitudes of those in charge don't undermine everything. (and yes, i'm referring to one particular "chief moderator" on the other site).
