Well they are getting some in that they can rebuild. $173 bucks if you just buy a rebuilt one. Just an FYI to everyone.

I've got tons of compressors. Looks like I'll have to send a few down to get rebuilt.

Von you say I will need the lines, but is the only thing different the alginment pins? Could I modify a 2g compressor to work with 1g lines?
sorry busy end of the week, the line orientation is the problem the 2g lines are 180* offset from 1g

Are they rebuilding the 1g compressors? Wow, for that price I don't think I can afford to NOT get one.

This may have been answered previously but my only leak was on the compressor...damn thing would spin but spewed all of my freon out as well as the dye I tossed in to find the leak. Since my car was R12, do I have to change anything from orings to the evap to anything/everything else or can I swap the compressor, pull vacuum for a good while to purge the system and then be good to charge it? This 100+ heat is only getting hotter.
60% of the time, my car works every time.

If you change the compressor and dryer I would change the o rings that connect those pieces. You need to put some 134a oil in the compressor and put the conversion fittings on so you can hook up the 134a gauge and hoses.

I'm trying to do a group buy on rebuilt compressors with these guys. $150 no cores. just pay for shipping.

I just replaced the compressor on my daughters stealth. Today was 106. She said her only complaint is she gets too cold. Time to replace mine. I can't say I have that complaint. Compressors get weak with age.

Definitely keep us posted on that group buy status. So whatever pieces I swap I should also do the orings while im in there - makes total sense. Will I have to replace the drier as well? Fittings and oil are no problem at all. The trouble is that compressor.

if you change the compressor, change the drier. If you don't it will void warranty on new compressor. Also insures fresh clean system.

Awesome. Thanks for the info. Have you been talking to the company via email or over the phone? How are things looking thus far?
