I used DD-WRT and Tomato on my Linksys WRT54GL router and could not achieve 30megabits. G only hits about 20 megabits in the real world though.

I swapped over to a D-Link N router and this is what I get .

Hope you do not fall into that situation with your D-link.
I just picked up my dgl 4500 last week. The new 1.23 firmware update I hear is good so far.

Can you get back in touch with me in about a week and tell me how you like 1.23? IF need be you can revert back to 1.15 I rad about it when I was researching that router after reading this thread.

Did you use DD-WRT and tomato with your D-link N router?

Will the v4 firmware work with WRT54GS v7 and if so will I notice an increase in speed?

If I update I will. Before I set up gamefuel the router would drop the connection but after setting up gamefuel everything has been smooth. I was told to leave it alone if it works, so I will wait another week to see if it gives me any issues.

    Ouch.

I have no internet at the place I just moved into so I've been tethering my phone with only 2 bars for signal strength. Results:

I have the DIR-655 which to my knowledge is not yet supported by either firmware .

Installed tomato on my dd-wrt WRT610N v2 router.... worked for about 4-5 hours, and now I have a bricked router Can't do any resets, looks like it needs to be opened up and reflashed.
