    ECU/TB rebuilds

I am in need of a reliable source for both ECU and Throttle Body rebuilds. I have one 92 TT ECU and probably 3 TT TBs I need rebuilt. Anybody here do either?
    Thanks,
    Milt

The throttle body rebuild really isn't that difficult. All you need is an impact driver, new(ish) #2 screwdriver, and some locktite. You can get the seals from Mach V motorsports, and the rest is gravy. Just make sure to mark the position of the TPS sensor before you pull it off.

I have done two so far, the first one was a PITA because I stripped the throttle plate screw and had to drill it out. Hence why I said a newish #2 screwdriver.

Easy for you to say. One of the TBs has had the throttle plate return screw moved. How do I reset it? What about the BISS? About the only thing I can do for sure is set the TPS. It's extremely easy if you have an AEM. Just plug the TPS in, connect your laptop, then set the TPS with the throttle held wide open, moving the TPS until the the AEM read out changes from red to clear (usually about 98%), then check the closed position (with the .065" feeler gauge inserted per the manual) reads zero. Works great, no need to try to keep multi-meter leads on terminals/etc/etc. Maybe you would do my TBs? For the low low? If you do the basics, I'll do the TPS. LMK. Thanks,
    Milt

^Oh I didn't realize it was that bad... I thought you just wanted the seals replaced. On all my throttle bodies, I was very careful to mark everything if it had to be removed. I know there is something on how to adjust the throttle plate return screw, I'll search through the manual to see if I can find the procedure.

That would be greatly appreciated. If I had that and the shaft/BISS seals, I might attempt to rebuild them on my own. Thanks,

Found a link without sending you over to the other site Throttle Body Rebuild

Throttle body seals can be bought here Throttle Body Seals

I ordered the biss screw, o-ring, and plug from Cherry Hill. If you remove the FIAV, you will probably want to replace that gasket as well.

That's the best writeup on TB rebuilds I've seen What is the part number for the BISS screw and O-Ring? I'd like to add them to my write-up.

Here are all the gaskets that will be needed if you completely disassemble the TB... But you really don't need to remove the ISC, FIAV, or Biss screw to replace the shaft seals.

    MD608806 - Biss o-ring
    MD614948 - Biss screw
MD614532 - Biss cap- most people are actually missing this little plug/cap
    MD614417 - ISC/IAC o-ring
    MD614406 - FIAV gasket

How DO you find these part numbers? I looked all over CAPS and never found them
