Glad to see this forum is taking off well, I have no doubt it will make a nice new home for my daily browsing. I've been gone to the DSM world for close to a year now, but I just couldn't stay away. I still remember the first 3000GT I ever saw, it was a heavily modified, red '95 VR4 that my dad's co-worker owned. The amazing body styling, the gorgeous interior; everything about the car was just plain awesome to behold. When I first heard the twin turbos spool, and watched as all four tires lit up, it was at that moment that it became my dream car. To this day no car in my mind has ever surpassed it, and so here I am, back where I originally started.

In search of my dream I first purchased a '94 SL, it was a southern car, rust free, and in practically immaculate condition minus the engine. I took it on as a project with my father, and rebuilt the engine. I was in awe of the car when it was finished, it ran beautifully and felt powerful, but over time I longed for more. I wanted twin turbos and all-wheel drive like my true dream car!

I ended up settling for a DSM to get used to the similar platform, as it was as close to my dream as I could afford. I found a '98 Talon TSi/AWD on the cheap, again with a blown motor. After doing a 6-bolt swap and full rebuild I was ready to finally experience the awe of an AWD sports-car, and amazing it was; the Talon blew my SL out of the water! The sound of a spooling turbo, the grip of AWD; it was pure ecstasy! And that is when I knew without a doubt that I'd be back, right back to where I started in search of my true dream.

About a week ago I came across a '91 R/T TT for cheap. I lucked out again, another well-kept southern car without a speck of rust on it, and as usual, it has a blown engine. With two rebuilds already under my belt, it looks like I'll be picking up another project for the winter, one that I can truly say I'm very excited about. My sports-coupe is great, but now I'm finally going to have a true Japanese Supercar. It's feels good to be home
