    Guaging interest : Want 98-99 vr4 flashable ecu's?

I am wondering if anyone would be interested in these ECU's. Part # MD360163 (99) or MD347250 (98). Both are the best flashable ECU's for our cars.

If you are interested in getting one of these extremely rare ECU's what would you be willing to pay for it? They retail for 960$ USD and wholesale for about 780$ if you can find one.

I am putting this request up for someone who may be able to source a few for a decent price.

Please PM me and let me know, perhaps a group buy will get us a good deal!

Just wondering why, because there are other options out there for far cheaper than $780... The 98 Diamante ECUs are looking very promising. Plus they are very easy to locate. Just doing a simple cost benefit analysis... is the added cost of the 99/98 VR4 ECU over a DiaEcu worth the funtionallity of the oem boost gauge and the active exhaust considering no one really uses them.

Plug and Play Flash Ecus, why use a harness when you can just Plug and Play?!

I understand the things with the other ECU`s. I personally will use a 98 or 99 VR4 for a silky smooth no nonsense transition. There are a few reasons that I prefer this route, after reading every thread on this topic wherever I could find them. You will not get a modded ECU for super cheap either, unless you mod it yourself. Thats fine, Im just putting this out there for those who want the cleanest route for a price they are willing to pay. I have a friend with a 99 in his 93 and its buttery smooth, stock running, 15g 550cc EBC etc.

This is not a money maker for me, just an offering. I dont even know how many MAY be available. I expect the price should be tempting. Thats why YOU are telling ME what your willing to pay, and I will forward that info.

If your not interested, thats fine too. Im pretty sure Im going to get a few PMs tho, due to the rarity of these things.

    Thnx!

There will be a much more affordable option soon.

By the time you pay for an adaptor harness (no, you can't easily make these yourself unless you're lucky and find them used), the flash cable (no you can't make this yourself either) and the software (guess you could steal this from someone) the total cost for the swap will be more then an AEM.

    Just saying....

More than an AEM? As in 1500$ or used? Thats way high a price to compare to....

I understand that there are people working hard to make a package to sell. Nothing wrong with that. I was waiting for that myself. However, I had feelers out there for ECU's. A guy calls me. So I make some threads. Not meant to threaten those products.

While I appreciate what the boys are doing, there is no reason not to offer these to people here who may want them. There wont be many, if at all, to be had. The people that get them will likely be very aware that they need to make/buy an adapter harness, tactrix flash cable and get ECUFLASH, EVOSCAN (to log), the 3s file and proper 99 flash file AND learn how to alter the flash files.

Lets keep this simple, as its intended. If you want a 99 or 98 VR4 ECU and I can get one for you, tell me what you are willing to pay in a PM, and I will forward that to my contact. IF he can do it, he will.

    Thnx!

Dont listen to Greg E about making the conversion harness. Check my thread which list the parts to build a conversion harness
