Can you spy the stealth pace car(s)?? I guess the Viper started the race... I'm still watching the first video now There's 9

yeah, the viper wasn't actually used during the race because having a backup car is a REQUIREMENT for pace-car duties. the viper was a one and only prototype.

...to this day, i still morbidly chuckle over the irony of the stealth being treated like a red-headed stepchild by IRL because it was made in japan. the irony is that chevy hasn't won the indy 500 since 02 & quit in 05. yet the corvette is STILL used as a pace-car for the race. so is the camaro. hell, the LF-A would have been a more appropriate pace-car than a goddamn chevy.

it's probably just a matter of time until chevy starts losing MFG cups at NASCAR too.

The viper paced all of the laps. After doing a little reading, none of the stealths EVER saw track time.

...boy what i wouldn't have given to have someone mysteriously "disappear" the viper on saturday night...

Tony did that a few times dude. Did the Indy 500 then the Coca-Cola 600 that night.
