I see Austin@STM has managed 373AWHP on stock 9b's and stock engine internals. Has anyone else managed numbers close to this? if so what are your mods?
Cheers,
Joe

Looks like Trevor made 359AWHP on 9b's: Dyno Chart Collection Thread, Take Two - 3000GT/Stealth International Message Center
Ive found other people saying they made 360+ but no dyno charts.
Its common to get into the 320 range...but most people who want more dont bother and just get bigger turbos lol
That number was an estimate not an actual on dyno figue. However that link is very helpful thank you. WSRTT hit just over 350WHP on 9b's [but running high octane fuel]
Any numbers on a N/A to TT conversion? Would the higher compression help or hurt? I've always been an N/A guy so I don't know.

ray got a customer's car to just over 300 whp with some good tuning on 9b's. i'd say if you're doing it right, 300 is a fair number. you're really struggling beyond that point though.
9b's are best for n/a motors--given the compression limit. you can probably hit 350+ whp with 9b's on an n/a engine...but i don't think anyone's ever taken that setup to the limit. and regardless of which engine you use, 13g's are almost a no-brainer upgrade from 9b's for "bottom rung turbo". spool is almost identical & there's much more potential.
p.s.
i never heard about wsrtt getting 350 whp on 9b's. that must have been back when keith was running the shop.
Hmmm I won't be happy with only 300whp. I might just fit all the fuel stuff and do a street tune then get it done properly when I can afford some DR goodness or failing that 19T's
Or I could try to break the 9b record
19t's are great, but there's a wide range on the market (as the other thread attests to). billet 650's are a pretty decent bang for the buck currently.
what holds the 9b's back is CFM. it's a matter of pure, hard science. 9b's just cannot put out more air than they're designed for. you can crank the PSI up at lower rpm's, but they'll gas quicker in the RPM band. in extreme form, this means that above 5k rpms your HP starts dropping.
on a side note, i've sometimes wondered about 14b's. granted, there are very, very few 3s'ers who have ever utilized them. i also don't know if they utilize the same housings. still, putting billet wheels in a 14b td05 would likely give you the absolute fastest-spooling td05 solution for our cars, bar none. coupled with a stroker you might even be be spooling below 2k rpms (pure conjecture).

We had a stock turbo stealth make 324 awhp with an open downpipe, SAFC, 450cc injectors and a hot wired fuel pump... I believe it was running around 18 psi.
We've had some turbo conversion (10 to 1 motors) making 309 fwhp at 9 psi, 250 awhp at 9 psi (through an awd auto trans), and we had one running e85 and like 16 psi, but I forget the numbers... I think it was around 360 fwhp.
